My brother is a lot better now. no fever at all. but he has to keep a special diet for a couple of days so he can recover fully. thank you for your kind words every one :)

My sis and her boyfriend visited us this weekend and they brought apples from his mother's garden. so i made an applepie and it looks sooo gorgeous. can't wait to try it :D

about my brother. my brother brought him into the emergency this morning because he had fever and bad stomach aches. He was in bed all sunday because of the fever but it was better on monday and tuesday. but today it was worse and i don't know what's up because i don't know which hospital and my mother switched her mobile off ARGH

rabbit puberty? I has them - well not me, but my rabbits. ok, only Carlisle. Since yesterday he is chasing poor Emmett around and biting furballs out of his fur. I couldn't really sleep because it went on all night - and this morning Emmett didn't even really eat. he's just hiding in a corner. When i stand next to the cage and have a look at what's going on Carlisle starts to lick Emmett, just like he wants to say "Yes, I'm being nice". I asked people who know frabbit behaviour and they told me it's the rabbit puberty - Carlisle is 4 months and Emmett is six months old. They also said it could last until they're one year old. which would be 8 further months having this chaos

for several years now i've been quite fond of Deadliest Catch - a TV show about crabfishing in the Bering Sea. My mother didn't like it so i missed a lot episodes. but now i have my own TV i can watch whatever i want *muahaha* of cours it just fed my obsession with these guys - especially the Northwestern. So i just started to make some artworks and made these two sigs so  far.

Oh well, i haven't been away really. Just had other priorities. But one thing after another. First i wanna thank Luci for helping me with my new layout I sooo love it now *huggles her LJ*

So what's new... first i have two new roommates. One i introduced to you several weeks ago: Carlisle. then a few weeks ago a new rabbit moved in: Emmett . it was kind of an emergency and we had to improvise. but after long weeks of castration, isolation and socialization both long ears moved into my room and we're happy now. well, most of the time. in one moment they lay next to each other licking each other's ears, the next moment Carisle chases Emmett through the room. They are just too adorable here are some piccies :D

what's new too... ummm, i started working with Photoshop. it was a little difficult because i was used to working with Paint Shop Pro. But it's so worth it. I even noticed i have some problems working with PSP now. *lol* well, i still loe my PSP but it was time to develop more.

And i had a job interview for an internship in September in the Agyptisches Museum Berlin (Egyptian Museum Berlin) and they said i only need to sign the contract for it. i won't earn any money doing this but it's totally worth it. my first foot in the door of working in Berlin. *yay* The Neues Museum was restored and will reopen in October. The eqyptian exhibiton will move in there and i will help them doing this in September. We'll also move the famous bust or Nerfertit/Nefertiri/ Nofretete.
So now all i have to do is waiting for the internship contract which i should receive by the end of his week '*yay*

I really need a new layout... i don't like this one anymore - just wish i'd understand more of HTML...

Ladies and ... ummm... well ladies, may I introduce you Carlisle, my new dwarf rabbit, born on 14 March 2009. :D he's so cute and absolutly not afraid. the cage just seems so huge so i probably will get him a friend after the vet neutred him :D

So, after several weeks of absence i decided to do another post. it happened quite a lot and i try to summerize it for you ^^. so please be patient :D

further i applied at a bookshop to earn some money for my studies. I seriously need a job so i can buys more things i like. Having no money is not fun, i want to BUY me pretty things! Tomorrow I will have a try out and hope it will go well - though i have a weird feeling in my stomach when i think of that. everything sounds great about the job, the money, the workmates - EVERYTHING. But i'm not sure if i really want it. BUT i need the money so i do what i can to get this job.

In a few weeks I will get a new rabbit as well. After my last two rabbits (the Troll and McGyver) died last year i wasn't sure if i should get me a new one or not. But now the rabbit of a former workmate had babies and she asked me if i want to have one of them. So i said yes and now i'm really excited. i can't imagine a life without animals. It's a boy and i still have difficulties to think of a name. I narrowed all names down to Herger the Joyous (from the 13th warrior, my mom doesn't like this name), Gimli ( a suggestion of my mom, which is a cute name but i'm sure there are many Gimli's out there and i want a unique name) and Carlisle (i'm REALLY obsessed with that guy, I'll explain later). Can you help me and tell me what you think please?
I ordered a cage for him and as soon as i receive it the little rabbit will move in. I still need to go to the vet to let him check his health, get him vaccinated and neutered. And this all costs money so please cross fingers that I'll get the job at the book store.

last but not least i'd like to inform you that I am obsessed - again. this time it is Twilight. i know the people either love or hate it and i tried not to watch the film and read the books for a long time. But several friends of mine - yes i mean you Luci (again i forgot how to paste userlinks) - adore the books and the film so I decided to watch the film. Now i'm seriously obsessed. I love all the vampires, but especially Carlisle Cullen *coughs* rabbit *coughs*. I also did some artworks which i want to share.

So two weeks ago i worked as a LiveSpeaker in the Altes Museum in Berlin and i must say it literally changed me. First i was really nervous about what would expect me, if i can give all the answers the visitors would ask me for. But it wasn't as bad as i imagined. The exhibition wasn't really well visited, only a few came and really were interested in conservation and restoration. which is a shame because it's such an interesting working field. I think most people don'T even know what we are doing. They probably think the artefacts get excavated and go straight into a museum. but that's wrong, it's about cleaning and eventually restoring it and conserving  it for the future *meh* and we are the onces who examine the artefacts first. not the archaeologists. They do the paper work like dating it and investigate the cultural meaning - but they never to the conserving work. 
anyway, i wanted to talk about the week in the museum. It really was interesting because - the first time for ages - i was flirted with. first there was a guy from Texas who wanted to have my mobile number. too bad he mentioned he's got a girlfriend before so i didn't give it to him. then there was a really cute chemist from a lab in Berlin. He REALLY made me have butterflies in my stomach. But i soon figured out he's nearly 20 years older than me and i was quite stunned.  didn't see him since then which is probably the better way. But now i suddenly feel alive. something was awakened inside myself and it screams for more. :D

together with 3 fellow students i applied at the2nd European Students Conference on Objects Conservation in Helsinki/Finland and today i got the invitation. The conference will take place in October this year and we will present our project of conserving a very old and rare ceramic pot. all we need to do now is learn english and ask our university to give us some money for the journey and accomodation.

I'm so excited because I've never been to Helsinki/Finland before *ihi* This will be so much fun!
